Here are our top 4 outfit tips when looking for items for your boudoir experience:

#1: One Piece Teddy

One of our absolute favorite pieces of lingerie to photograph is the one-piece teddy! Sometimes called a body suit, I think these are the most underrated lingerie there is. It is incredibly flattering on all body types. There are a million different designs for how it covers you and it is more versatile than you would think. You can find them in all colors, black being the most popular however red and white are also up there. You know the color palette that goes with your style so have fun with it! And don’t be scared to push out of your comfort zone!

#2: Matching Bra & Panties Set

An obvious choice but also so underrated! Again, this is extremely versatile and can be worked in several different ways. Often, we as women don’t like our stomach area, me included - it has taken me all of my 44 years to get to the point of wearing a bikini! However, being photographed in a matching set can also be very flattering, something I realized when I did my boudoir shoot. They are easy to find and easy to fit – often if you are different size on top to on bottom, you can get the bra size you need and then get a pantie to match in your size. For your photoshoot, you will want to be careful with tight fitting sets as, although we can smooth out bulges in the post processing, we can’t remove them entirely. If you are not sure, it’s best to go up a size – you’ll be amazed how it’ll look and feel, and the normal rule of thumb is if you go up a size in the band, go down a size in the cup.

#3: Corset

Whatever happened to corsets?!! I get it, you can’t breathe in them, but WOW do they look amazing in photos! They are incredibly flattering on almost ALL body type, accentuates your waist big time, and gives off a subtle role play vibe that can really add the mood of your shoot, right Mr. Grey?! There are many different styles and colors to choose from, and choosing something that is patterned gives real depth to your photos!

#4: Birthday Suit!
